Period 5 Astronomy Lesson

Today start out by exploring the history of Space Exploration.
  1. For each decade (1950s, 1960s, 1970s, etc.) write down three interesting facts about space exploration.
  2. Click on the building in the 1960 section. Click on President Kennedy and listen to his speach. Write down your opinion of what he said.
  3. What does the future of space exploration look like?

When you are done, go back to science.discoveryeducation.com and complete at least one student worksheet on one of the following explorations.

  • Watching the Universe
  • The Air Up There, or
  • A Star's Life
