Force and Motion

Look below and make sure you have completed the lesson for September 21, 2007.
Today in the computer lab you will go to Explore Learning and complete 3 gizmos.

Gravity Pitch Gizmo - experiment with the gizmo and then answer all of the multiple choice questions. Hint: Orbital velocity is a speed an object must go to resist Earth’s gravity in order to orbit the planet. Escape velocity is a speed an object must go in order to “escape” Earth’s gravity.

Beam To Moon Gizmo - do not answer the questions for this gizmo. Instead copy a T-chart data table in your agenda planner (under 10/5/07). Include the labels Location, Newtons, and Pounds. Record your weight in both Newtons and Pounds for Each location. Earth, Moon, Venus, Mars, etc.

Air Track Gizmo - this is a challenge gizmo for those seeking a deeper understanding of momentum. Give it a try and if you are up for it complete the questions.
For those of you interested in doing independent research, follow this link independent research, to see what a good research report will include.
